Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the CareerDost Android app. By signing in you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
What CareerDost is
CareerDost helps you find jobs, build a resume, and keep track of the applications you have made. It is a tool you operate. It is not a recruitment agency, not an employer, and not your representative.
What CareerDost will not do
- It never applies for you. The app can fill an employer's form with details you have already given it, and then it stops. It does not click Submit, does not tick a consent or declaration box, and does not overwrite a field you filled in yourself. Reading and sending the application is always your action.
- It does not speak to employers on your behalf, and nothing it generates is sent anywhere without you doing it.
- It never paywalls your own resume. The free templates stay free and downloadable, without a watermark, for as long as you use the app.
Your account
You sign in with Google and are responsible for keeping that Google account secure. One account is for one person; do not share it. You may be signed in on up to five devices at once. We may suspend an account that is used to abuse the service — for example automated scraping, or attempts to exhaust the free AI limits.
Your content
Your resume and everything in it stays yours. You confirm that what you put in it is true and yours to use, and that you have the right to upload any file you import. Your resumes are stored on your phone, not with us. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose: uninstalling the app deletes them from the phone, and Android's own backup, if you have it turned on, is the only thing that can bring them back.
AI suggestions
Some features use AI to structure or suggest wording. AI can be wrong, and it can produce text that sounds confident and is not accurate. Check everything before you send it to an employer. You are responsible for the contents of your application; we are not liable for a job you did not get, or for anything an AI suggestion said.
Job listings
Listings are collected from public job boards and company career pages. We do not verify them, do not endorse the employers, and cannot guarantee that a role is open, real, or described accurately. Treat any request for payment from an "employer" as fraud. Applying happens on the employer's own site, under the employer's terms.
Paid plans and credits
- Subscriptions and AI credits are sold through Google Play and billed by Google.
- There is no free trial that turns into a charge. A subscription's price and period are shown before you buy.
- Cancel any time in Google Play; you keep the paid features until the period you have already paid for ends.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy, since Google is the seller.
- Credits you have bought do not expire while your account exists. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded once spent.
Closing your account
You can delete your account from Profile → Delete my account at any time; see the deletion page. Deleting the account does not refund an unexpired subscription — cancel that in Google Play first.
Availability
CareerDost is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of faults. We may change or withdraw features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost opportunities, or lost data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use CareerDost after that means you accept the new terms.
